Hi! My name is Joséphine and I’m a second-year Animal Biology student at the University of Guelph. I’ve gained experience through a veterinary internship in Peru and shadowing at local clinics, and I’m passionate about pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. I’m excited to be part of CPVMA to connect with other pre-vet students and help support our community.

Hello! My name is Keanna, and I am a second-year Animal Science student at the University of Alberta. This is my first year with the CPVMA, and I am so excited to give back to an incredible organization that has played such a large role in building my confidence in veterinary medicine. After earning my Veterinary Assistant Certification through Olds College in high school, I set my sights on becoming a mixed animal veterinarian. While I grew up mostly around small domestic animals, I love stepping out of my comfort zone to work with large and exotic animals, and ultimately, helping animals of all shapes and sizes. Aside from school, I enjoy hiking, reading and doing sports. I am a head coach of a youth track and field club in Calgary, and love continuing to give back to the track and field environment. I also have a family dog named Beau, and my own kitty named Stevie Nicks. This year I will be helping out as a General Committee member, and I cannot wait to represent an amazing organisation and give back wherever possible.

Makayla Graham

Hi I'm Makayla! I'm a second year student at the University of Victoria in the Biology, Mathematics, and Statistics program and hope to get accepted into vet school in the near future to earn a DVM. My passion lies in wildlife and my dream is to spend the rest of my life working with and protecting wild animals from the harm humans bring them as a Wildlife Veterinarian. I am the CPVMA's Regional General Committee Member for the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and this is my first year with the association. I look forward to the CPVMA's upcoming year and working with all of you aspiring vets!
